Shimásání Skirts Project
Skirts Made With Love
One way we honor our elders is with our Shimásání Skirts project, created by our director’s mother, Teresa. She, along with some special volunteers, have put hours into sewing traditional shimásání (grandmother) skirts. To date, they’ve made more than 500 skirts!
They’re not done yet. With your donations, they can buy the material needed to bring love and smiles to women in the Navajo Nation. If you’re interested in sewing skirts, please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
